Long-distance move from New Jersey to Florida

ZiptoZip Moving.

The actual price was significantly 36% higher than the estimate. And we had no furniture only boxes to move which should make it relatively simple to estimate. These people are transporters and not movers. Once they showed up at the final destination with their 53' tractor trailer we found countless crushed boxes delivered with damaged household items even broken cast iron cookware. Numerous missing items including whole boxes of goods, tools and even a 12' truck rack. These apparently never made it out of the storage operation. Third party claims were also not responsive to calls. In the end the $3000 claim resulted in a $62 offer based upon their 60cents per 100 lb. insurance coverage This allows them to take anything and be responsible for pennies of replacement cost. Pretty sweet setup. Check them out with the FMCSA ( Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration). However my suggestion is RUN away from this company.

Zip to Zip Moving Company.

This was the worse move ever.  Be afraid, be very afraid.
I would not recommend them due to the fact that they used bate-and-switch tactics.  Estimated one price and them doubled it.
Additionally, as a senior I had to sleep on the floor for a week and then they delivered someone else's box spring and no mattress.  Additionally, key valuable items are mysteriously missing.
Movers arrived with a 'checklist' of charges that was not with the original contract and they were not response to phone calls.  They did not keep their word and no wonder they only except cash or money order on delivery.  They hold your belongings hostage and refuse to deliver your items without prior signature and left no copy of delivery and make no effort to return phone calls and only want to be paid first without rendering a service.

Long-distance move from Massachusetts to Maryland

Very Friendly.

After throwing out my estimate request, I got 100 phone calls from different companies. For some reason, I picked up for Zip to Zip and I'm happy I did.

I've made several interstate moves and have had horrible experiences, but Taylor from Zip to Zip encouraged me to read laws and gave me some government websites to research as I made my decision. He was my point of contact for the move and I was able to call him, even after the move, and he answered immediately and was able to find answers to my questions. That definitely eased my mind as the day came.

Three men came on the day of the move, Mike was the leader, Phillip was one of the helpers and there was another guy, but I don't know what he did, because Mike and Phillip did all of the work. The estimate ended up being almost double what they had originally estimated, but Mike explained exactly why (they had estimated for 40 items, but I had more than 100). They were extremely friendly and worked really hard. It was the coldest day of the year (with subzero windchills) and I lived on the third floor of a house but they never complained. They were truly interested with making me happy. They explained exactly why things were the way they were and made recommendations to protect me (for example, showing me that one total was the final and no one should ask for more money, etc). I was so impressed with their professionalism and demeanor that I requested they deliver to me also.

They weren't available for delivery, but the men who delivered were also truly interested in making sure I was happy. Everything was delivered and it was damage free. They delivered at 6am and were friendly and professional.

Was I happy with a higher estimate? No, and it's the only reason this is good and not excellent, but the fact that the rest of the move was so smooth for me made it worth it. Everyone I spoke to was fantastic and definitely set me at ease which is so helpful when you're dealing with the stress of an interstate move.

Long-distance move from New York to Montana

Please watch out.

I hired Zip to Zip for a cross-country move. Here are facts and photos of the experience:

1. While my items were in the custody of Zip to Zip movers, one of my lock boxes was broken into and over $5000 worth of valuables were stolen. There is "no way to prove this" to their claims department so I have "no legal recourse".

2. They cost over $1000 than most all of the competition.

3. While they will say your move will only take a few days to be delivered, they fail to mention it will take an undetermined amount of weeks for them to find a truck.

4. Everything was late by several weeks.

5. I was lied to about when my items were placed on a truck. The movers told me directly they only had been trucking my stuff for 2 days when Zip to Zip said it left 10 days before.

6. Things arrived broken. When I mentioned this to the movers delivering my items, they told me "that's what insurance is for."

7. Zip to Zip will never call you after they have your initial deposit. They will say they will call you back to inform on delivery dates, moving complications, or customer service issues but they will never call back. If you speak to people named Taylor, Tim, Joseph, or Kate you can rest assured you will never hear from them again.

8. The movers actually do not know how to assemble or disassmble furniture. They tried to re-build my couch but forgot the legs and tacking strips and actually installed the back of the couch upside down, drilling new holes in the wood frame (damaging it) in the process.

9. When the truck did show up it was jammed full of stuff and it was all mixed up. All of the boxes were smashed and since everything was literally thrown in the truck they had to unpack half of the trailer to find my items. Even at that they still didn't get everything and I had to tell them multiple times the items they were re-loading were actually mine.

Stay Away!!

Where should I start?? Horrible overall!! KEEP IN MIND: WHATEVER THE AMOUNT IS THAT YOU WERE TOLD BY THE SALESPERSON IT WILL COST YOU DOUBLE..no matter what your contract states or the description in it. Their response to your complain will be: that the salesperson doesn't know what cubic feet means. I sold most of my furniture and my boxes were 20 less then what the contract stated and still got over-charged..

GOOD LUCK :((.

Very Bad Experience with Zip to Zip.

Horrible experience with Zip to Zip. DO NOT hire these guys. I hired and ended up paying 50% more than agreed amount. And I was so tensed till I received my goods. Also my goods were damaged and they behaved very bad when I complained my damaged goods to them. They were like - "Are you sure your TV was not broken already?"
Do Not fall in their 18 truck trap. Instead go for some good moving company.

Fraudlent quotes.

This is consumer fraud at its worst. They quote you a price. They said it would be $1975. but then they showed up and it was suddenly $3400. I didn't add anything. They wrapped things unnecessarily and boxed cushions that were already included in the original quote. Then they intentionally create more work and volume to jack up the price. Most people are vulnerable at the time of move and have no choice but pay. They movers were rude, late and disrespectful. I sent them away but it still cost me $418.00.

Do Not Use This Company.

This company was very dishonest from the start. DO NOT USE THEM! I was quoted a price over the phone, which seemed fair. The day I moved, the company that I thought was moving me, changed there business name without telling me to Zip to Zip movers. Half way through my move, the head guy told me it would could 3x's more than what I was quoted. I was in a jam due to relocating to Florida within days. As the head guy was walking out the door, he told my items would sit in a warehouse in New Jersey until they had a full load to deliver to Florida. Moving forward, 28 days past without my things arriving to Florida. When the truck arrived, my boxes, furniture and personal things were so tightly packed in the truck, they had to destroy my boxes to removed items. What a nightmare, almost 80% of my belongings were destroyed in this move. They packed a 1940's rocking chair for me, and they LOST it!! How could you lose a rocking chair?? As I unpacked my items from the boxes, many items were broken.. I called them out on it, they told me they were not responsible for the damaged because they didn't pack my items. I truly had a melt down, because my things were destroyed. It cost me about $10,000 dollars to move from R.I. to Florida.

Please take the time to read.

I read the reviews for Zip to Zip and thought the people who wrote negative reviews were overreacting and the bad things would not happen to me. I was very thorough with my rep who gave me an estimate of $1,700. The quote was for 64 items. Right, when they walked through the door the guy said: "you know this will go over your estimate." I said yes I figured I would be a couple of hundred dollars over. He said, "try around $3,600 for this move". It's like they know you are under pressure to get your stuff moved and capitalize on your desperation. I felt stuck by my limited amount of time to move and had them do the anyways. The whole time the movers were fishing for tips. It was ridiculous. They ended up loading 74 items. I went 10 items over and it cost me double my quote. I will skip the countless calls to my rep for an explanation of why my estimate was so far off. He constantly said he would get back to me with an answer and never did. When they delivered my stuff there were 2 boxes missing, broken glasses and damaged furniture. They said I could make a claim and they basically give you an average that is based on the average weight of a box. Which totals around $30 per box even though the items missing were a BlueRay, Playstation 3 and a margarita machine. How convenient!
I'm telling you. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Rent a truck yourself and hire guys to load and unload. I did that on my previous move and will do that on my next move. Lesson learned. I just don't anyone else to get burned the way I did by this company. They tell you everything you want to hear on the phone and then rip you off.

The worst.

Spoke to Mike very nice on the phone and sounded trusting. I gave them a count of all the boxes (that I packed) and furniture and items like tools outdoor furniture plastic bins, etc. And my kitchen set with marble table insert and buffet with marble top that I paid them to create. First trying to get the right insurance for the move they told me to use this company they where on board with, well it seems they weren't then (Mike) told me they would be by the time we moved that did not happen. I had to use the basic moving insurance from them(don't do it) also the better moving insurance company would not cover me if zip to zip stored my move in there warehouse before delivery for any time so Yosef ( I was to believe is the boss) told me just tell anyone that asked that the truck had broken down on the way and the delivery was late, another bad sign I did not pick up on. The day of the move they arrived 1 the truck was to small and another truck was called in and the prices just went up at this point now choice they beat up boxes the kitchen set broke the buffet marble, dishes, lamp shades smashed in the box marked fragile hole in the side of the box someone kicked it. The marble was never created ( that I paid extra for). Long story short 7 bins missing, 27 boxes missing a 46-inch flat screen tv electronic equipment, lamp, etc. On the day of delivery, one of the movers had the nerve to steal a little external speaker for my laptop, I had put it there when they arrived. Also after dealing with the insurance company (weeks of paperwork) then end result was check for $62.00 my worst! Also, they used rental trucks not what they say is there rolling stock. And Mike he also told me my furniture is bigger then most that was the reason for the second truck, so all is known I donated 85% of my furniture to charity before the move. Getting on with life.

Very Professional.

I wanted to take a moment to preach about this company that I hired for my long distance move. I've moved many times in my life and hands down it was the best experience I've encountered thus far. Rich called me and convinced me I wouldn't regret using his company. Joe from dispatch kept us updated throughout the whole move when they would arrive to when they would deliver. The crew was polite and very professional on both ends. Big thank you from myself and my family to Zip to Zip for making us feel like family.

Long-distance move from Maine to Florida

Lost items, broken items and NO contact from Movers.

This moving company charges by the cubic feet, when they came to take my stuff they packed chairs into big sized boxes, when loading into the truck, they did not classify what was written on boxes, example boxes label kitchen, books, fragile glassware, or plastic bins labels that I marked, so all the stated was large or small boxes. I had less stuff then the original list and after the truck was packed they insisted I was over 200 cubic feet and demanded I pay extra.
They delayed the delivery by a week due to do weather and flooding problems in South Carolina, so that was expected but, was not expected was the condition of my goods when they finally did arrive. The boxes were all smashed and dented, dirty, like someone's foot prints were on top of many of the boxes, things they wrapped were broken. When I tried calling about it the next day, no answer, left messages, e-mail and no one called me back. It took a few days possible a week till I realized a whole wardrobe box with my good expensive work clothes and all my bed linens were missing plus 3 other boxes with expensive glass heirlooms all gone. Many items wrapped with bubble wrap, added paper to fill in voids were broken as well. All in all with the cost of my good cloths, Tiffany goblets, the value of my lost exceeds $10,000. The only reprieve was my creditcard for the deposit of $550. was reimbursed but the whole move was $1000. over the original estimate which I listed with more stuff then actually went on the truck.
you will be Sorry, if you use this method of moving because even the Insurance goes by weight but, you have no idea what your weight is because the charge by cubic feet and can leave voids when they pack your stuff and pack the truck.

Bad Experience.

Our experience was less than stellar. We were promised a pick up date as we had to drive to Florida as well to get back to work on time.
The movers were a day late in picking up our goods. we had certain items that we had shrink wrapped. The totally disassembled items we had packed. We received a desk that was totally destroyed with drawers still missing that they cannot find. We received broken chairs, crushed boxes. There is no care for the transportation of your goods in the least. Overcharging on quotes. We were never provided a contract to review prior to the loading time. You are not allowed to verify how many cubic feet that are loaded. The company is very hard to get in touch with. You have to pay them before you can view the condition of your goods.
There is no attempt by management to make things right. It is a "Take the money and run" operation. "make a claim".
Due to them arriving a day late, we were basically forced to sign the contract under duress. We were told our items would arrive in 3 days. Our items sat in a warehouse in Pennsylvania for two weeks.
The truck was in Jacksonville for a couple of days, but they elected to drive the truck to Miami first, even though our goods were in front of the door.
Zero trust for this company. I would never use them again and would advise anyone else not to use them.

Do Notuse Zip to Zip.

If you ever want to see your belongings again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPPANY. WORST MOVING WXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE This is fraud at its finest.

The first issue was that the driver of the truck that picked up my belongings would not give me my paper work until I gave him a four hundred dollar tip. I am 80 years old, was under tremendous stress and it occurred about 7:30 on a Saturday evening. I should have called the police.

The next issue is that numerous boxes of valuable, irreplaceable china, small kitchen appliances, pictures, photo albums, linens and art work have just vanished. They claim to have tried to trace it but have been unable to locate the missing items.

Thirdly, they gouged me on the total price and I would up paying three times the quote.

And last but not least, they did not reassemble furniture that they took apart and pieces of that are also missing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The Worst--must Read Completely.

I cannot even give Zip to Zip Moving Service 1 star. From the moment I gave them a deposit to the time the delivered my belongings it was nothing but lies. Out of a team of six I dealt with 3 people (Tim, Katie and Brian). Its important for me to note who I dealt with so if you think I am exaggerating my review and use them anyway, you can stir clear of these people.

For whatever reason I cannot put my full review on the website, so I will make it short and sweet. I had numerous detailed conversations with Brian about my stuff before pick up and then on pickup they wanted overcharge me an extra 1K, I got the price lowered to $500. My stuff was supposed to arrive on the 1st it came on the 8th, it was delivered by a third party mover which I had to coordinate on my, some of it damaged some of it lost.

Zip to Zip moving services is not a large company, maybe 6 moving coordinators, I dealt with three, each one was worse then the one before. If you value your sanity and your belongings I highly recommend you stay clear of these guys. They are incompetent, cannot be trusted and will hold no accountability. They claim they are not brokers who will bid out your move but I assure you they are.

Cost 60% GT estimate with detailed inventory.

Customer Service from Coordinator excellent and very responsive, though I think some additional info for consideration and company evaluation could have been provided. However, even with a very detailed and accurate inventory, actual costs were 60% higher than quote (thousands of dollars more). Management did not accept government regs on non-binding estimates which only require client to initially pay 110% of quote with 30 day to resolve else company in violation of Fed laws holding my items "hostage".
Third party Delivery movers indicated if I didn't pay full amount that difference would be taken from their pay which didn't seem fair to me
Items were be moved to new home (upstairs or downstairs ) or to storage unit. I had labelled every box with location and contents. Packers repacked items and did not always label or relabel correctly so some items went to wrong location and I had to move them to correct place (I'm a 65 yr old women with arthritis and no car so this was quite an imposition ). Also, some items were left in move out home and the movers left the place a real mess.
I would not ever use zip to zip movers again nor recommend them to anyone based on pricing discrepancy and packing/delivery service.

I was extremely pleased with how professional and thoroughly the mover Jean was in packing and taping my sister belongings. Unfortunately Jean didn't have any helpers to assist him with packing, taping, loading etc.. He never half step and was able to execute his job with no complaints or hesitations. Jean worked very hard and diligently from start to finish. His character, patience and hard work speaks volume. Companies need to hire more people like him. They are just another Broker.

After putting out a quote to bid I received several inquiries. I picked Zip to Zip because Rachel, my salesperson, told me they owned the equipment and that our move, based on size would be put on a box truck and delivered on the same truck with the same crew that loaded it. The fee is based on space taken up on the truck. Sounded great and price was reasonable.

If it sound to good to be true it is. The crew showed up in a leased truck 4 hours late and with an small load in the nose of the truck. To be honest, the crew leader Steven was decent and they took great care to wrap all furniture. However, with all the miscellaneous fees and extra space (1200 sqft vs 980 sqft on the estimate), now at a 50% higher rate, my estimate jumped by over 25%. Also, my 3K tempurpedic mattress and foundation were strapped to the back of the truck since they ran out of room. It's moving day, you got to move so you sign the paperwork and let it go.

Later that night I reviewed the paperwork and the original quote. The contract calls for the same rate on the extra space, not a 50% upcharge. I called them and after finally getting Joseph, he agreed and credited the amount. Still ended up being about 18% higher than originally quoted.

The crew that arrived was not the same and it was a different truck which means they unloaded and reloaded my belongings. Not what they claimed. The delivery crew was a sub contractor. Again, not how Zip to Zip represents itself. Upon deliver, all of my belonging took up less than 1000 sqft on the truck even with the tempurpedic mattress and foundation? Hmm, how did they do that. I think the loading crew loads in a manner to increase the cube and costs.

Delivery crew did a great job and we had only a few minor damage not worth mentioning let alone filing a claim.

Over all Zip to Zip did move my belongings without damage, but they tried to get an extra 25% and did not pick up and deliver on the own equipment. They brokered it out, not what they tell you when you are quoted. Buyer beware.

Zip to Zip is the worst.

Deceitful tactics – Do not use this company, I have never dealt with a more deceitful company before. They initially re-assure you that everything will be fine with your move, yet they just undercharge you to get you hooked. They got me good, even after I was told not to deal with them from other companies, their re-assurances made me think everything would go smooth, Shame on me for not going with my instincts. This company misrepresented their services. My cost to move started at $1600 and by the time we were finished it was at $4900.00 which they did reduce to 3300 but still more than double. My hands were tied as the items were on their truck. Upon delivery, 6 pieces of my furniture was broken, the reassemble done by them for my bed was not done correctly and the bed collapsed, and 2 of my bins were never delivered. When they packed their truck, they packed it very loose taking up extra cubic feet. When the truck came with the delivery (a different truck and company it was packed so tightly using far less cubic feet that it resulted in my furniture coming off the truck broken. I contacted the company and they told me to file a claim. The insurance claim process is totally unrealistic, they basic insurance gives you 60cents a pound, so for my $1000.00 worth of furniture I will get $60.00 and then they will come and take it. Upon signing the contract this company said they will be the ones picking up and delivering, they picked up but did not deliver, another company delivered. Very dissatisfied with this whole ordeal. Just do not go with Zip to Zip, the worst ever.

Long-distance move from Rhode Island to Texas

Avoid.

The only reason to give these guys one star is because there is no option not to give any stars.

One word: AVOID

I made a move from New England to Texas. After a careful review of service, feel like it is my responsibility to warn ppl about them and companies like these who initially trap you with the lure of paying less but these are ALL HIDDEN charges. You will end up paying the same - if not more- like a renowned big company but also with an added hustling, stress and damaged stuff. Read my story so you can avoid the mistake I made almost knowingly but hoping that I would have a better result than what everyone had said about this company.

I did all the background search that is possible for moving. I knew what to look for - avoid broker, review DOT number and mileage and know how stuff was measured by cubic meters and not by the weight. I read multiple online reviews carefully!

The quote that I got from a renowned company like Mayfair was $4800. However upon my research I came across Zip to Zip movers who would move the stuff for $1900 (tempting!)

Initial Service:
The agent Timothy was very nice and went through all the charges. I was confident in their service after reviewing their Dept of transport number/mileage. I made Tim go trough a list of my stuff every item and he assured that I was ok with the given cubic meters wouldn't be charged more.
They were good about pick up date etc and he was available to talk to whenever I needed. Note that I had asked Tim to send a rep and look at my stuff in advance before the pickup just to avoid this very issue but he declined to do that and stated that it was not going to be necessary.

Day of pick up:
Three guys from ZiptoZip came and looked at the stuff. They gave me an estimate of $3800 after reviewing my stuff. I was livid. At that time Tim didn't pick up his phone and I was left to "hustle" with these guys. We ended up fixing the cost at $2700 after they had initially quoted $1900. Note that I had asked Tim to send a rep and look at my stuff in advance before the pickup just to avoid this very issue but he declined to do that.

I have t say that these three guys on the day of the pick up were very nice - and efficient. And even though they charged a lot extra - I tipped them nicely because they were super good at what they were doing.

At this time, note, my bill has already gone from $1900 to $2700 and this is in addition to my own boxes that I packed and bubble wrapped my glass pieces. The number of pieces I told Tim prior to pick up was the same as what I on the contract yet they said the cubic meters was more than discussed/500sqmeter.

Delivery date:
My building in Texas had their freight elevator down and offered to have their movers help on the day of my delivery. I asked Tim multiple times re the date of delivery so I could avoid having to pay extra for the stairs.
Tim kept saying they would not be there prior to 4th of July when I fact the delivery truck arrived on that every holiday!

Mind you, the delivery is done by Florida movers a delivery company hired by ZiptoZip to do their job and hence all along, Tim had no idea where these delivery guys were!

When my stuff came, they decided to bring it exactly on the day I asked them not to bring it.
Even more, the most horrific part - my stuff is damaged including chunks of my expensive real wood side table off. My headboard didn't come. In addition they charged me $350 extra for taking the stuff up the stairs when in fact they brought their shuttle to the 4th floor where I was.
These set of movers are clearly used to being rude and were highly disrespectful to my property. Not only was the head driver EXTREMELY RUDE but they also damaged my wooden floor (see picture). For everything I asked them he said "I got nothing to do with this call your company they should handle this".

In short, to avoid paying $1500 extra upfront I went through stress and my stuff being damaged/lost and also paying $3000 overall. This is significantly important that people learn from my experience of avoiding this company or any company who does not come and give you an estimate after physically reviewing the stuff. YOU END UP PAYING THE SAME!
If I had to do this move all over again, I would go with a Renowned big name company - they tell you how things are from the get go and have a reputation to keep.

Key points

- Start your research early so you're not bound by time
- Pick a company that is a real mover not a broker
- Review their DOT number and mileage
- MOST IMPORTANT (I avoided this): don't let them go away without a physical review of your stuff prior to pick up)
- HAVE EVERYTHING IN WRITING
- Go with bigger companies
- Avoid Zip to Zip movers!

I am still awaiting what they will do regarding my damaged property and also the fact that my headboard is missing! I am hoping they will reimburse me on this. Their service has been, overall, horrific and would never hire them again.

Excellent job!

When the crew arrived at my home last week I had not finished packing my boxes. They managed to finish all of my packing and load the truck within two hours. Two days later I got a call from customer service with my drivers number for updates on delivery. It arrived three days later and I had to stay in a hotel two days less than I expected. Long-distance move from Connecticut to Pennsylvania

Worst Moving Company Ever!

A contract was made between Zip to Zip Moving Services and me on July 11th for my moving from CT to PA.  After requesting a quote from Zip to Zip Moving Services on July 11th, the sales person sent me an estimate of $1,650.50. However, the day before moving, the boss of moving crew called me to confirm the number/volume of my items and he said my items are more than what he had heard from the sales person. So he said the price would be $2,000. I suggested him to adjust it after completing packing and loading because I was still packing at that time, and he agreed. However, on my moving day (July 20th), the moving crew came to my apartment in CT to pick my items up and they showed me a different estimate document. In the document, the final price was $2,000. And the moving crew asked me to sign the document. Although the actual volume was 400 cf (which was less than minimum of 500 cf), they didn't adjust the final price and advised me to talk to the sales person. I also found that the price per cf was adjusted from $2.85 to $4.00 in the adjusted document without my consent. That being said, although the actual volume of my items was less than the minimum, there was no room for adjustment due to the adjusted price per cf. Zip to Zip should have sent me the adjusted document before the moving crew came for pickup in order to provide me enough time to review it ahead of time. After the moving crew picked my items up, I have made tens of phone calls and left voice messages to the sales person to talk about this wrong estimate & price. However, he has never answered or called me back until August 3rd.  The email address of the sales person in the estimate document was wrong. So I was not able to reach him out by email. This makes me extremely nervous because I thought that this moving company doesn't exist. So I sent messages to the moving company but they didn't respond to me at all. I also contacted the boss of the moving crew who gave me the price of $2,000. He also didn't answer my phone at all. Now, I think Zip to Zip Moving Services is intentionally avoiding my phone calls, voice mails, and message. Besides the price issue, I became concerned about moving in. While requesting a quote to the sales person in mid-July, I requested August 1st for the delivery. However, I still do not know when the delivery would be and also if the delivery would happen. As my moving date approached (i.e., August 1st), I started contacting the moving company from the end of July. However, they didn’t respond to my contact up until August 2nd. On August 3rd, the sales person finally answered my phone and I explained him my concerns. The sales person told me that his boss will contact in 1 or 2 hours, but his boss didn’t call me back. On the following date (August 4th), I called to the sales person again, and he repeated that his boss will contact me in 1 or 2 hours, and his boss didn’t call me. I talked about this situation to my boss at work, and my boss contacted the sales person. After my boss contacted the moving company on August 5th, the sales person’s boss called me and said the moving crew will contact me between 4 and 6 pm to schedule the moving. However, I still haven’t heard anything from them.  This moving company now answers my phone but they don’t resolve any problems/issues.  They didn't adjust the final price at the end.  Also they didn't deliver 2 items (i.e., a side table and 25-30 pairs of designer shoes). They have been ignoring my contacts after delivery again.

Lie about estimates.

I wish these guys were on Yelp so I could write a review that people will see. But seriously, DO NOT use this company. They give you a low estimate to suck you in. Then, like the other reviewer said, your price is almost doubled on moving day because it's "more cubic feet." When I had LESS items than I listed on my inventory! They definitely do this on purpose to screw you over, making you pay more when you're backed into a corner with no options. Plus, no one EVER picks up at the office or dispatch, it's impossible to reach anyone. And my movers were 6 hours later on top of everything else. What a nightmare. I wish there was something I could do.

Long-distance move from Maine to Florida

Zip to zip movers.

RUN ..this is the worst experience of my 62 years. They are helpful until the deposit then they will not answer calls or return emails . No one knows what is going on and I had to inform the drivers of where my stuff was supposed to go. Most people I spoke to are impossible to understand due to heavy accents and poor English. My deposits never showed up on invoice although I asked repeatedly. Joseph, who I assume was an owner? was beyond rude and would not listen to my concerns and refused to speak again to me after trying to get an explanation as to why the charges were suddenly 1200 over estimate. They tacked on a 260 fuel surcharge after assuring me fuel was included in estimate, they charged me 200 for an oversized item which was clearly described to them and put in inventory after Rich told me it would be fine size wise. They charged 100+ for extra packing which amounted to tape wrapped around 2 blankets which I was led to believe was part of the standard service. They told me after pickup that my load was way over my contract amt, I know it was not. Customer service is non existent and quite simply, no one cared a hoot and basically told me we have your stuff so pay if you want it. Lastly, we are missing 2 boxes and gained 3 that were not ours. I feel bad for the persons whose stuff I have because no one will fix it. Driver had no check list at all and told me that the warehouse where he picked up load was a cluster .. of epic proportions and that the moving industry was a very dirty business and he felt bad but was independently contracted out for delivery. The delivery guys were the ONLY pros I encountered and were super. Did I mention they gave me a definite pick up date, I booked my flights and then they cancelled pick up and rescheduled almost a week later ? Cost me 250 to change flights but they could have cared less. I have had my stuff 5 days and my blood pressure is still not recovered !! Please save your sanity and bank account and look else where for a moving company.
